Following its discovery by Andreas Cariolou in 1965, and Cariolou's subsequent contact with Michael Katzev, the scientific investigation of the 4th-century BC shipwreck off the northern coast of Kyrenia began in 1967. These images document the investigation, survey and excavation of the site, which was completed in 1969. At present, no archaeological material is present on site, although remnants of the excavation's equipment are still present on the seafloor.
